Roku OS has no sideload, and Roku actively removes IPTV apps from the Channel Store. These are the workarounds that still work — and when you should buy a Firestick instead.
On the Roku: Settings → System → Screen mirroring → Enable.
On Android: Cast from notification shade; on iPhone: AirPlay from Control Centre.
Works fine for 1080p. 4K is 1–2 steps downscaled via the mirror bridge.
2. M3U-capable Channel Store apps
M3U IPTV Player (free, barebones, still in the store as of April 2026).
IPTV Live (freemium, subscription for EPG).
Free IPTV Player (free, ad-supported, no EPG).
These can disappear overnight
Roku has removed 3 major IPTV apps from the Channel Store since 2023 following broadcaster complaints. If the app you rely on disappears, your only option is screen mirroring.
The honest advice
If you're genuinely committed to IPTV and Roku is your only device, buy a Fire TV Stick 4K Max. It's $60, takes 10 minutes to set up, and you'll save yourself a lot of frustration. Keep the Roku for Netflix.
