We buy every subscription with our own money, stream every channel for 720 hours, and publish the full dataset. No affiliate-driven rankings. No paid placements. No screenshots from press kits.
As of April 2026, IPTVDB's dataset covers 18 services, seeded from public signup pages and community sentiment while our first 30-day measurement cycle runs. Apollo Group TV is the category benchmark on recognition and device coverage, Kemo IPTV and Strong 4K OTT sit at the cheapest annual tier (~$5/month effective), and Xtrix TV is the only service in our directory that ships real cloud DVR and 7-day catch-up. Seven 2026 entrants — LivePlayer IPTV, VocoTV IPTV, Pilot IPTV, EVESTV IPTV, SonixIPTV, Nomad IPTV, and IPTV GREAT — sit in the directory with provisional scores pending the next measurement window.
For Firestick and Android TV, most providers ship a first-party APK. Apple TV, Roku, webOS, and Tizen almost always require an external player (TiviMate or IPTV Smarters) fed an M3U link. Legal note: we have not independently verified broadcaster licensing for any provider currently in our directory — every card carries a ⚠ flag until we can.
